One foot still in the film business, retired, divorced key grip, John Grey steps with the other into the muck  of politics and redevelopment in his New Jersey town. He builds small wooden boats there, as second career. Accompanied by Oliver, a Cairn terrier, his  girlfriend, Lucy and a host of film and local friends, John fights to take down the guilty before they get him. What he finds is worse than he ever expected.
